Fees

Our signed proposal constitutes the consulting contract. Typically, we will request an initial deposit of 20-30% of the estimated project fee. Thereafter, we bill monthly based on actual hours worked, crediting the initial deposit against the final invoice. When projects develop in such a way that more time than estimated is required, we notify our clients and seek their approval prior to engaging in the work.

CompAnalysis serves its clients' needs through several types of payment arrangements:

  • Fees based entirely on the number of hours worked by consultants and research staff, within a range of estimated fees specified in the proposal (most projects are paid this way)
  • Fixed fees determined in advance for specified services
  • "Not to exceed" agreements whereby fees are based on hours worked with the caveat that the project will be completed at or less than the specified "not to exceed" amount
  • Retainer agreements, whereby the client agrees to pay a fixed amount each month to cover a range of particular services
